Food vocabulary

I just learned a few useful vocabularies related to food this morning. I am listing them down here: (1) A few ways of preparing food -To grill (e.g. grilled fish) -To fry (eg. fried egg) -To steam (with possibly a rice cooker) -To bake (with an oven) -To marinate: eg. marinate the chicken in white wine for a couple of hours before frying [Noun C] marinade - a mixture, usually containing oil, wine or vinegar, and herbs and spices, which you pour over fish or meat before it is cooked, in order to add flavour to it or make it tender (2) Some vegetable names -corn -bell pepper -cucumber -eggplant -string beans -lima beans -navy beans -mushroom -cabbage -carrot -squash -tomato (3) Some adjectives greasy - covered with or full of fat or oil marinated - Koreans like to prepare marinated vegetables (4) Other dish name lamb/bean/fish stew - a type of food consisting usually of meat or fish and vegetables cooked slowly in a small amount of liquid.
